2. Car Key, Remote & Transponder Services

  • Our car key, remote, transponder, and flip key services require an existing working key, remote, or shell to duplicate, cut, or program from. We do not create keys from scratch for vehicles with no existing key present — customers in this situation should contact their vehicle dealership.
  • We will make reasonable efforts to confirm compatibility before undertaking work, but final compatibility can only be confirmed once the vehicle and existing key/remote/shell are inspected in person.
  • Programming success can, in rare cases, be affected by vehicle-specific security systems, prior modifications, or third-party immobiliser issues outside our control. We are not liable for pre-existing vehicle faults unrelated to our work.
  • Customers are responsible for ensuring they are the rightful owner of the vehicle or have proper authorisation before requesting key or remote services. We reserve the right to request proof of ownership or authorisation.

3. Broken Key Shell Replacement

  • Shell replacement services depend on the condition of the item(s) provided. We will advise if a shell or key is beyond repair or replacement before proceeding.
  • We are not responsible for pre-existing damage to electronic components inside a key or remote that is not visible or diagnosable at the time of drop-off.

4. Engraving Services (Laser, Hand, Trophy Plaques)

  • Engraving is a personalised and permanent process. Once engraving work has commenced, the item cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded unless the error is due to our workmanship.
  • Customers are responsible for reviewing and approving all text, spelling, and design details prior to engraving. We are not liable for errors arising from information provided incorrectly by the customer.
  • Where a customer supplies their own item for engraving (e.g. a personal trophy, gift, or tool), we take reasonable care but are not liable for pre-existing damage, wear, or material defects in customer-supplied items.

5. Shoe & Bag Repairs

  • We take reasonable care when handling all items left for repair or stitching. However, due to the nature of repair work on used items, we cannot guarantee an identical restoration to original condition, particularly for items with significant pre-existing wear or damage.
  • Items left in-store for repair should be collected within a reasonable timeframe. We are not responsible for items left uncollected beyond [Insert number, e.g. 30/60/90] days from the agreed collection date, and reserve the right to charge storage fees or dispose of uncollected items, in line with applicable NSW law.
  • Please retain your collection receipt/docket, as it may be required to collect your item.

6. Watch Batteries & Band Adjustment

  • We take reasonable care when replacing batteries or adjusting bands. However, due to the age or condition of some watches, minor risks (e.g. seal wear affecting water resistance, case scratching on very old or fragile watches) may exist and will be communicated where identified prior to service.
  • We are not liable for pre-existing mechanical faults unrelated to the battery or band service performed.

7. RFID Swipe Cards

  • RFID swipe card programming and supply is undertaken based on information and access requirements provided by the customer or their organisation. Customers are responsible for ensuring they have the authority to request programming of any access card.
  • We are not responsible for how issued cards are used once provided to the customer.

8. Gift Wear

  • Gift Wear items are sold subject to standard consumer guarantee protections under Australian Consumer Law. Please inspect items at the time of purchase where possible.

9. Pricing & Payment

  • Prices for services are provided at the time of quote or purchase and may vary based on vehicle make/model, item condition, materials, or complexity of work.
  • Full payment is generally required at the time of service or collection unless otherwise agreed.
  • We accept [Insert accepted payment methods, e.g. cash, EFTPOS, card].

10. Quotes & Estimates

  • Verbal or written quotes provided are estimates based on information available at the time and may be subject to change once the item or vehicle is physically assessed.
  • We will inform customers of any material change in price before proceeding with work.

11. Warranty

  • Where applicable, we offer a warranty on workmanship for [Insert warranty period, e.g. 30/90 days] from the date of service, covering defects in our workmanship only.
  • This warranty does not cover misuse, accidental damage, water damage, tampering by a third party, or normal wear and tear after the item has left our premises.
  • Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy conferred on you under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Liability

  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tornooke Keys is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from the use of our services, including but not limited to loss of use of a vehicle, lock-out inconvenience, or loss of access to a property or vehicle while services are being carried out.
